How do i use Microkorg to trigger/record midi

Here is what i want to do. Im new to this so please bare with me...
I own cubase 5 and macbook pro

I want to record the sound from microkorg into my comp and then be able to make adjustments in midi. (in case i did not play some of the chords in time)
How do i do that???

Then while the midi track is playing i want to mess around with the cutoff and resonance knobs and be able to record the changes?

Is this possible???
