A proposal for a sticky thread for the most requested...

Digidesign (now Avid) has a sticky thread where users post requests for features that they would like to see in future updates. The most voted item moves towards the top, and the rest fall in place in that order. There's no fights, discussions, personal opinions, or anything like that in that thread. So it's very easy for Avid to just look into the thread and see the top 10 most requested features or whatever. Is it possible for us to do something similar?

A very good idea. Slightly off subject, (slightly?). This is how whole countries should be run, with people voting for policies and not crappy politicians.

Interesting idea...

This type of thread ideally should contain one single post with an up-to-date list of "change requests".

I am happy to set it up, manage it and give it a try bearing in mind that it is very possible that Korg have already created a proto-type for their next arranger product (i.e. it may be a bit late for them to change).

My suggestion is that a sticky topic is created - as members post replies with their requests, these are added to the first post and them their posts are deleted - this way there is one list and one post to be read rather than having to plough through lots of requests and "polls". Managing a voting scheme for all the individual requests would be a nightmare.

Just my suggestion - what do you think?

It is already TOO LATE for that kind of Topic now, they will probably soon
come up with the new Arranger and Workstation...wont help at all.
Maybe 3 years from now again...

well, one thing for sure is that you wouldn't want to have more than one topic. If people want to discuss a feature, let them do it outside that thread first, and once it gets to a meaningful conclusion, then we can move the topic into the sticky thread. Let the thread just sit there, and maybe sometime in the future we see something comign out of it. As it is right now, all the polls, and requests are gone and lost.

Nobody knows it's too late for sure. What about future updates? how do you know there will be no updates at all for the current or future machines? At least we can try.

I mean its ALREADY too late for the machines that will be coming up,
forget the current and past machines, not worth talkiing about.
I dont think they will accept something for the new commers forget
adding stuff to the existing machines.

There is NO POINT since I've already created such a THREAD a while ago and no one bothered to make it a sticky

If we make all the "requests" and "wish-lists" into stickies then the point of stickies would be lost.

I am not prepared to go through the many wish lists, requests, and complaints to make up a single new topic, however if it is the general consensus to get a new sticky topic going with lists I will create it.
As both Nedim & I stated above - it is most likely too late for the current and past PA models. As Sam says, it could help towards updates to the new keyboard's OS but hey, we don't know what may already be included until it is released.

Anyhow, my offer is there if enough members want to go ahead and believe it will help, but it will have to be a new topic and a single list of requests - at this moment I am not aware of any real bugs or problems that exist which are contrary to the instrument's specifications.

Let me know who is interested.

This is why I created that THREAD in the first place, to gather all the requests in to a single THREAD and I update the 1st post to include all the new features/requests etc...

Then again, it is probably late for KORG to implement them since the PA3X is most likely already developed but you never know.

I'm not going to pursue this any longer, but if you guys are to do this, then maybe Someluke's original post could be a place to start.
