No sound from Prog or Combi mode

For some reason the rack won't produce any sound in Prog or Combi mode even when it is recieving midi signal. The rack is getting MIDI signal from the keys but it will only produce sound when in the Multi mode or when playing a Demo song or with the Audition mode. Since I thought it might have been a bug of some kind I did a factory reset and updated the OS to 1.5.2. but it still won't work. I recently got this rack and I don't really have much experience with synths like this so I might very well be missing out on some kind of setting, so please help if you know what my problem might be. Could it even be a hardware problem?

Any kind of help would be really appreciated

Check midi settings. That's what it sounds like to me.

I just wanted to know if you had any luck resolving the issue. I have similar issue going on. I don't believe it's a midi issue because multi mode seems to working and when I play midi in comb and program mode i see the light turn on and off on triton. Would like to hear how you resolved the issue.

If Audition and Demo mode do produce sound, check the MIDI channel setting of the MIDI source driving the Triton Rack, and also check the MIDI channel setting in the Triton Rack's Global menus. Try setting both the MIDI source and the Triton Rack's Global setting to MIDI channel 01, if possible. The fact that Combis do produce sound suggests that the MIDI source is triggering one (or more) of the timbres in the Combi that may be set to respond to a MIDI channel other than 01.

Hi. Sorry for necroposting, but I have a similar problem.

The rack unit receives the midi signal.
Combi sounds play fine but program files don't output anything.
However, when playing the demo with the program sounds, I get the audio output.

Really puzzled. Any ideas?

Hi.

Could try reloading the factory program banks. If that does not work Then resetting the rack to factory settings should fix it.
