Hi,
I was able to to download Trinitro. Now, all I need is the cable with the USB (to computer) on one end, and the small midi (To Host) connector to the rack. I called Korg parts and they refered me to two out of state parts dealers.. Does anyone know another way?
Thanks Frank

m-audio used to sell a product very much like what you describe. USB on one end, midi i/o on the other. Dunno if they're still making that or they've opted to do (slightly more expensive hence profitable) breakout boxes.

I think it's an either/or deal. If you use the host the connection should be to USB - it's the same as most PC printer cables.
But there's a specific "midi data dump" in the menu.
I'm not looking at the manuals, so it's either RTFM or hook it up and see what works. You may need korg specific drivers; the UK korg support site should have them.
-------
BTW an earlier post didn't get in... the M-audio midisport is a USB/Midi interface (they're no longer marketing the cable), and E-mu has an in-line adapter cable that goes USB>Midi I/O - Both are ~$45 at Best Buy, guitar center.com probably has 'em a buck or three cheaper.

Functionally, both connectors are pretty much the same and hence you can use only one at a time - sort of (check the 'Korg MIDI driver installation' part around page 79 in the manual).
'to host' is a standard RS232C serial interface. So USB will not work here. You need an old fashioned serial port on your PC and a special cable to hook it up. For USB you need a USB-to-SERIAL converter AND a special cable. All of them can be had but I'm not sure the KORG serial driver will work with an USB/SERIAL converter.
I think you're better off using an USB-to-MIDI converter, they can be had in most decent music stores around $20 and up.
