Lost memory

Post by hersh »

Hi,
Today I made a new style shut off the keyboard and later when I turn on the keyboard the whole file of favorite 2 disappeared - just says 'empty'?!? Is there any way to get back those style's back? Actually at media-save it shows up favorite 1 and favorite 2 that I use but when I go into favorite 2 it reads This is not a pafile! so it doesn't look like it's totally lost because it displays favorite 2 (it doesn't display favorite 3,4,5 etc. because I don't use those.)
Than you,
Hersh.

Damn! Did you lose only the latest style, or you lost all the styles loaded in that favorite bank? I've had situations where something went wrong and the style didn't get saved properly. Or I've even had "the Arranger is running" error message while working in the Style record mode, and the only way to get out of it was shutting the keyboard down. If i was in the middle of something, I did lose whatever I hadn't saved.

Sam, i dont know if you know this but ,,Arranger is Running'' is not an EROR
message and does not require a shut down. All it means is that the Arranger
is running at the moment and certain pages cannot be accessible, all you
have to do then is just pres STOP once and then EXIT and then go on with your work.

I know, but the problem is, that message pops up on its own in Style record mode, and nothing works anymore. Everything freezes to death. In fact the style is not even running or anything. It always pops up when i'm editing something, not when I'm running the style. Numerous times , i've tried to click on a menu or something, and I've got that message while the style is NOT running.

Then there is a problem, try reinstalling if it will fix it.

Before you make important edits, check the internal memory-space of your PA.
PA500 shows 'strange behaviour' when the space is almost full, even 'freezing' of the instrument.
You don't get proper error messages, which is a b..... shame, it can't be that difficult to let the OS monitor the internal memory space.
Perhaps in the year 2015, when we get a new OS-update , this issue will be solved.
'Don't let your instrument get outdated...' :x

Play in style. ;)
