Using kronos with a controller.

Post by Rosen Sound »

So my plan when i get kronos is to only use it when making patches, the keybed from what i felt at NAMM was just not as good as the triton extreme. and the joystick is M3 like, wich i personally am not a fan of also my triton has poly after touch, crucial to me.. I plan on controlling it via midi from my TEX for the most part, but what im wonderting is this.
After i build my set list in set list mode, with the badass patch remain! will i be able to use the patch remain while making program changed from the TEX?

To very clear, this is EXACTLY what i plan on doing.
Triton in combi mode, midi out to kronos, kronos thru to rack gear (radias etc.)
So say i just have the TEX using its assignable pedal to go program up, so this will make it (as i understand..) go up one in setlist mode! cool! awesome! but when i press that pedal on the tex... will i still get patch remain? or will it send the all notes off message?
I mean bottom line, if i have to have the pedal plugged into the kronos and just reaching my foot area near my triton, cool! i just want to know if this is possible.

Judging by the fact that when i go combi up when im controlling my radias through my tex it sends a not off message, i assume what im asking is impossible.

let me know!

thanks!
