Restore Factory PreLoad Data ?
Is there a key sequence that one could hold down while powering the machine
on that would restore the factory preload data containing the factory
combi(s) and programs for a Trinity Pro with OS 2.2 ? I know by holding
O + Enter to Initialize the entire machine , which I did inadvertently ( being the dumbass that I am ) And I am aware of the download available from Korg
for the factory preload , which I did in fact download. I purchased a floppy drive to usb connector to connect to my laptop , however, I'm having difficulty
with my laptop recognizing the disk drive. Help Please !
Many TIA - Schweats

Schweats,
Did a quick search myself and didn't find anything - on a page posted by another user that showed MANY reset and initialization routines, Trinity had only initialize. There may not be a "reset" routine other than "turn on and insert factory disks".
Sorry.
Off-hand I'd say take the floppy drive back to Office Depot or whatever - it (USB std) should run automatically on your PC w/o any special drivers; it should really be no different than using a data key.
(WIN) Have you run a "new hardware" wizard? That (and net access) might fix whatever the drive problem is.
(MAC) It sometimes takes a minute to recognize USB devices - and when they do appear they will more often than not show up as a "no name" drive, which can be hard to spot if your desktop is crowded with other things. If so, give it a minute, then play "I spy...", you might get lucky.

If you have a MIDI interface try using Kevin Goodman's Trinitro to transfer patches from your computer to your Trinity: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=18508

+1 to that.
Nice workaround.
I've got a trin and trinitro, but always worked to disk, but midi works as well.
I'd call TRINITRO an essential piece of software for working with the Trin. Excellent librarian, well thought out and makes moving around and saving patches a breeze.

Hi everyone
Posting to thid threat, because some similar question.
Got a trinity V3 just a couple of days ago. Have basically no experience with it, but i'm reading a lot. (thanks to the manuals). The trinitry i got is obviously patched, so i'd like to save some prgrams from the keyboard and then restore the preload settings. Apart from that i'm looking for a software on mac as library and for sequencing.
1. Is it essential to work with floppy disk or can basically everything done with a software on a Computer? (e.g. trinitro)
2. Is there any similar software for mac (Tiger 10.4.x)?
3. If it is essential to have an onboard saving facility, what are your experience with flopy disk emulators proposed as well in this forum: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... sc&start=0
I wouldn't start saving stuff on floppys if possible, since i have no floppy drives anyway.
4. How much diskpsace does a program/combi more or less need?
thanks in advance and congrats for the forum, red hours in it, great reference.

1- If you have an editor (like Trinitro) you can up-load / down-load PCG's via midi -- No floppies required. Saving to floppies s prudent for emergencies, such as a power surge wiping out your onboard memory at a gig.
2. Trinitro's a WIN program - I don't know off hand of a FREE editor, tho' the sound-diver editors may be available in a MAC version - instrument specific editors can be purchased for not too much. Check also to see of there's a WIN "environment" emulator that might let you run trinitro on the mac.
3. You do have a floppy drive on the Trinity (see 1 above for reasons to use it).
4. PCG is just under a meg, you may be able to get two on a floppy.
