looking for a specific synth sound

hello I'm looking for distorted synth sounds that work good with mordern rock
something like the sound in this song starting on 1:30
(sounds kind of like a guitar but I think it's a guitar)

it is very easy to create that sound with a Korg R3:

trade it it for an electric guitar and learn strumming it.

Considering the difficulty level of the song, it will take you... er... 2 hours.

It will certainly take less than programming a "strumming guitar" patch on a karma-less keyboard.
