Rack Version control problem (MAC)

Howdy,

I connected both, USB and MIDI in out, the latter to my Motu express 128 midi i/o 3.

Now, in the sound editor, it works a doodle. In preferences I chose midi i/o 3 and notes I can choose from other keyboards I connected to the motu, for the sake of an example on motu i/o 2 is my korg karma, on i/o 1 is my roland xv-88, so depending what channel I use here, I can play the radias from my karma or roland. Great!

But, here are the problems I need to solve:

1. as soon as I leave the sound editor, I can not play via karma or roland, although, all are setup in audio/midi and cabled into the motu. Why is that and how can I play it without the sound editor open?

2. when I have the sound editor open, in global I can filter program and bank changes. But, say I play the radias via my Korg karma, as soon as I change a program there, it changes the radias program as well, regardless the filter setting on the Radis.

What am I doing wrong?
