Using Korg SP200 as Midi slave to Korg R3?? Possible?? How??

Post by naytdogg24 »

Help!! Im a noob trying to connect my Korg SP200 to the Korg R3 as a slave via midi connections. My goal is to be able to assign sounds to the SP 200 that are different from the R3 so that these can be played simultaneously. Please let me know if this is possible and if so, how. Thanks alot!

out from the SP to the in of the R3 with a midi cable.
Make sure theyre set on the same midi channel, now you should be able to use both with one keyboard

if you can make layers in the SP try to split the keyboard with the left side on the SP and right side on the R3 set to a different midi channel.
Make sure you have the R3 receiving the right channel though! go to its global and change it to another midi channel and have the SP send accordingly
