Who is this Adam?,
This video is pure crap!
"Kronos" seems to be too much Synth for this Guy.
I like to hear "Kronos" on a real Musician "hands". Lol!

Wow, that's kinda judgemental don't you think? Why don't you compare your discography with his: http://www.adamblackstone.com/discog/
All of which he did NOT play keys on.DaveBoulden wrote:Wow, that's kinda judgemental don't you think? Why don't you compare your discography with his: http://www.adamblackstone.com/discog/
The video did nothing for me. It didn't tell me anything (except "This is a game changer, yo") or show me anything (a couple HD-1 patches playing nothing impressive). The video really served no purpose other than to show some random person liked the Kronos. I could care less who this guy is or what he thinks - he's a bass player that the vast majority of the Kronos buying public has NO idea who he is. It certainly didn't make me want the Kronos any more.
Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).

+1. Lame. How not to emulate a real string section. This guy should read through some orchestral scores. Oh, that's right, reading makes you less funky. & then most of the video was spent pounding at what sound like very pedestrian 808 samples we've heard a million times and which can be had for free from many sources.
However I am liking the Korg videos each dedicated to one of the 9 engines. Hope they do one on the analog engines.
Hey Adam, I know you're a big-time MD but can you read a viola clef? Can you read at all?

Do you really not understand the concept of artist endoresement then?McHale wrote:All of which he did NOT play keys on.DaveBoulden wrote:Wow, that's kinda judgemental don't you think? Why don't you compare your discography with his: http://www.adamblackstone.com/discog/

Clearly I should have been more specific ... I was responding to Flash & The Pan's comments that were seemingly belittling the man and attempting to discredit his worth as a musician. I know he is primarily a bass player, but you don't get to be MD for big named artists without being a superb musician, and quite often a multi-instrumentalist. I agree the video really was uneventful, though.

What? You spoke Hungarian at a demo in Budapest? C'mon Akos. That's totally unfair!Akos Janca wrote:Thanks but without translating all my words to English this may be a similarly boring demo for all of you...billysynth1 wrote:I'll wait for Akos' vid.

I think his "gee whiz" response to the Kronos is supposed to do that.Devnor wrote:Wow tough crowd...the MD for Jay Z checking out the Kronos. I guess I missed the part where he's supposed to be selling YOU on KRONOS.

Maybe Jay Z's tailor, driver, and body guard can take a look at it too. I'd love to also hear their equally worthless opinions...Devnor wrote:the MD for Jay Z checking out the Kronos. I guess I missed the part where he's supposed to be selling YOU on KRONOS.
