MY EMAIL is: miccoris@gmail.comFrans N wrote:Yes you can. I used PA800 styles on my PA500 Musikant.
Micca send me a PM with your email and I will send them to you
im very happy if you can send me pa800 styles!
Thanks.
If i'm not misstaken the Musikant has some sample memory that's why you could load your pa800 resources in it, but the usual pa500 dosent have it and there is a chance that you can wreck your device. Correct me if i'm wrong but thats the major difference between Pa800 and pa500 that one has sampler and can store samples while the pa500 dosent :S...

You are correct about the difference; PA500 does not have a sampler.Nenos wrote:Correct me if i'm wrong
But, that doesNOT mean you cannot load PA800 or even PA2XPro styles in PA500.
In fact you can load any PA style in PA500, except PA3X Pro.
It will NOT wreck you device.
You will only need to tweak the styles and sometimes replace a sound used in a style in a better sounding PA500-sound.
For instance, PA500 does not have DNC-sounds.

Pa1X format: can be loaded in all models except Pa80, Pa60 and Pa50/Pa50SD.
Pa800 format: can be loaded in all models except Pa1X (all versions), Pa80, Pa60 and Pa50/Pa50SD.
Pa3X format: can be loaded in Pa3X (both versions) only."

They will not sound exactly the same, but you can make them sound (very) good & they don't mess up your key.
I use a lot of those styles all the time and I haven't had a problem with them.
The sound of PA800 is better, of course, but hey, it's twice the price of a PA500...

I have several styles on my PA500 "borrowed" and tweaked from other machines including the PA800. Very versatile these KORGs

I recently bought the pa588 as I wanted the piano keys and all the styles that I created, edited on pa2x work great, all I had to do was change the occasional sound. So I'm very happy about that..

Styles from Pa800 on Pa500 Oriental
Hi everybody, I am new to this Forum, I have a set of some exotic moroccan styles and sounds made for Pa800 that wouldn't play correctly on my Pa500 Oriental, I guess because it doesn't have a sampler, My question is there any computer program that can play them. A representative from Sweetwaters told me I have to purchase a software called: Motu ethno instrument which costs around $374. Please advice and if any one interrested to check these styles and sounds just leave your e-mail. Thank you
