Sound/Patch Tweak

Post by richie1027 »

Hello. Set up a nice combi for queen's another one bites dust, setting up 12 different zones and working with multiple layers to get some of the background sfx freddy used.

question: i'm using a reverse cymbal and the orig. patch goes about 3 seconds. I need it to last about 6-8 seconds from beg. to end. I've tried modifying Amp EG's, played with various filters and you name it. I've certainly been able to MODIFY it,...........just haven't gotten the effect to sustain, or rather, extend the sound without changing the character or quality of the sound itself. I'm trying to do this in a combi mode, which does limit my editing capabilities.

If i need to edit theactual program, save it in a user bank, then import to combi...so be it. any help appreciated.

The PG manual provides just what it states....parameters. Its not a how to when it comes to understanding oscillators, waveforms, and various terms. i'm attempting a self-tutorial in this respect. thanks everyone

It could be the sample itself. To extend the time, try pitching it lower - try about twelve semitones down, and fine-tune from there.

Kims suggestion should work - that change has to be at program level so you'd need to save the "6-sec-cym" to it's own program to use it in a combi effectively.
