K61 MIDI Channel Question
I just got a K61 MIDI keyboard and am wondering if there is a way to set the slider, knobs, or buttons to control which MIDI channel the controller sends on. Right now I can go into the editor software and change the MIDI Channel but I control multiple synths with one controller through ableton and would like to be able to change channels without going into the editor software, changing channels, and then transmitting the data. I was going to just set up a track in ableton that received from the K61 and then I would map something to the MIDI Out Channel, but Ableton doesnt allow me to map to that parameter.

Solved. KORG tech support emailed me back about this and said, "The MIDI channel assignment can only be changed via the K-Series Editor software." So you cannot map the MIDI channel to a control. Why give it the option to be powered and work as a midi keyboard without a computer if you can't change the MIDI channel? It seems like companies miss things that should be common sense on every product.
