How can I get my Korg padKONTROL to talk with Battery 3?

Post by ryconnmd »

I can get the padKONTROL to trigger the drum sounds in Battery but some pads won't be routed to some of the available triggers in Battery. I know how to route the pads on the padKONTROL but it seems quite tedious to find what note each drum sound is represented by and then manually programming the note names via the padKONTROL. Sometimes it ends up being all out of order on the padKONTROL pads or some pads on the padKONTROL won't even be triggering anything at all. I ran the Editor Librarian and loaded the Battery Scene data into the padKONTROL already and I still don't understand why it isn't working perfectly.

Is there a way to make the padKONTROL recognize what triggers are available in Battery?
Would I have to run a MIDI out from my Mac to the padKONTROL?

Thanks for the help.
