Nanopad: Changing release time?

One thing that makes playing the Nanopad difficult is the fact that it waits for you to pull off of a pad before that pad will accept another event. For doing flams, or just when playing quickly, this results in notes being missed. Very counter intuitive. I mean drums don't work that way. You can have your hand or a stick on a drum, and still play it with the other hand or stick.

Is there ANY way for the Nanopad to automatically release the pad as soon as it's hit?
