I have my poly evolver midi out into the m3m midi in, them m3m midi out to logic...
The m3m triggers logic with the pads, the polyevolver triggers the m3m, but it wont pass through to logic?
what am I doing wrong?
m3m trouble passing midi through to daw....

I believe to get both Evolver-generated and M3-generated signals into Logic, you would need to merge MIDI OUT and MIDI THRU from the M3 into Logic.
If you don't have a handy MIDI MERGE box, you might be able to do this by hooking up the USB connection to the M3 and using it for Midi signals to Logic.
Or, you may not care about triggering logic with the pads, and just do MIDI THRU to Logic Only.
Let me know what works.

Without a merge box, this DID work though...
1) Keyboard 1 Midi Out to M3M Midi In
2) Keyboard 1 USB Out to Computer
2) M3M USB to Computer
3) Sonar on Computer
4) Soft Synth Loaded and Configured to take sounds from both Keyboard 1 and M3M.
If you don't have a USB Out from the Evolver, you could try a MIDI Splitter (THRU BOX) to send signals both to M3 and Computer.
Good luck!

A little more detail: MIDI Out ports don't normally re-transmit messages that come in on the MIDI In port. MIDI Out ports only transmits MIDI that is generated by the device itself, not what came in through the MIDI In port. The MIDI Thru port does exactly opposite -- it replicates what it is receiving at the MIDI In port but doesn't transmit any internal generated MIDI. So, if you want the Poly Evolver's to play the M3M and also pass the Evolver's MIDI messages to Logic, then connect the M3M's MIDI Thru to Logic. If you want the M3M's pads to send MIDI to Logic, use the M3M's MIDI Out port.
