I have had a PA800 for 4+ years and have been using it less frequently on gigs and using a Ketron Midjay Plus, with various controllers, more. The reason is that the Midjay Plus produces a more live, 'in your face' sound. Someone posted that with proper keyboard EQ, the PA800 hundred could produce as 'live' a sound as the Ketron. I can only find instructions for EQing sequences and individual tracks but nothing about EQing the keybaord output. Can anyone help me with this. Thanks.

Hi JerryT,
from the OS-Version 2.00 and later KORG has spent many new features in the PA800 Series... such as score-Display within midis and so on.
Korg spended also the MAIN-OUT EQ with a powerful 18db 3-bandth adjustment.
Check state of your OS and Ressources or move to latest V2.02 !
Then press
GLOBAL
EDIT
AUDIO SETUP
and then TAB "MASTER EQ".
Move the knobs to your favorite position and dont forget to CHECK ON the ENABLE Check-Box.
In this 3-Band adjustment Korg spended even the flexible cross-over frequency to chose.
For further details refer to User-Manual on Page 229 / 233 !

This feature is also found in the latest OS version 1.19 for the PA500.
GLOBAL > MENU > AUDIO SETUP > MASTER EQ
Nice way to add a bit of 'punch' to the output.

What decibel settings do people use in practice for low, mid and hi gain and what khz setting for frequency, when Master Equaliser is enabled? The picture in the PA800 Manual shows mid range decibel settings for the gain(about 1 dbl) and a frequency setting of about 3.5khz for frequency....this sounds a bit tame to my ear. Any suggestions?
