Sustain Pedal Problem-Korg Triton LE Music Workstation
The sustain pedal for our church Korg Triton LE Music Workstation ceased to work. I purchased a Gear pedal replacement, but the sustain function still does not work. Could it possibly be a programing problem? If so, does anyone have a solution?

Make sure you're plugging in to the "sustain" rather than assignable "pedal" or "switch" jacks. "Pedal" is for a wah-type volume pedal, and the "switch" jack may not have a programmed or readily discernible function.
Make sure you're plugged in all the way.
Trouble shoot: is the jack clicking in and seating?
Look at controller functions under the global menu and adjust accordingly.

It would be unusual if not impossible for the sustain to be globally off -- that would typically require disabling sustain at the program or combi level, for every programed patch, which is not a one click solution or a case of someone randomly pushing the wrong button on a menu.
It is possible that the sustain jack is broken -- but I've never had one go out on any board I've owned over the last 30 years or so, so unless someone has been seriously mis-treating your gear that would not be my first check.
If the pedal is functioning, but in "reverse" - change the polarity in the global menu and try again.
