Saving song or midi file

Post by britkeys »

Hi,

Two questions:

1. I tried saving a sequence as a midi file, which worked, but it didn't save the tempo changes I had programmed, is this normal?

2. Bit perplexed about saving a song, do I have to create a SNG file folder every time, I can't save a song when I open a previously created folder, the options list is not accessable. SNG folders save all the songs don't they, not just one?

Cheers,
Andy

Bit of a novice here - Not sure about q1, but for q2 saving songs seems to save all. When you load a song file though you get the option to clear all (ie so just the content of the file is loaded is then in memory) or append which then effectively adds the content of the file you are loading to the existing songs in memory.

Hope of some help

Thinking of trying to work with one of the SNG folders tomorrow, load that, which has a song in the first slot, then make a new song in song 2, save that. Maybe that's how you have to work with it, keep adding songs to a loaded SNG file and save/load whole thing each time.
Thanks for your thoughts tho, all help appreciated!

Anyone got any ideas on saving Midi file with tempo changes?
