Help with Korg radias and Ableton live usb routing

Post by lusysex »

The preferences on live dont show me to choose radias to incorporate with ableton to send midi data from the usb. I had installed the usb drivers of the radias. And I can not see radias on the list of controllers . please help.

Check to see if the Radias Editor works first. If it does, then you know for sure the driver installed correctly.

Second, have the Radias plugged in and powered on before you open and start Ableton. This is required for using any external devices with Ableton, otherwise it will ignore it.

From there, go to Preferences > MIDI Sync > MIDI Ports
The Radias should be listed. If so, turn Track On.

Create a blank MIDI track and in the In/Out Section, it will give you the option to select which device you want to route MIDI To and MIDI From for, along with the MIDI channels.

Live picks up things when its already open, you shouldn't need to restart live to add controllers/devices.

It doesn't for me running on Windows, at least not with MIDI devices. Even if something gets unplugged, replugging it requires restarting the program.
