How to load SF2 files succesfully (no sound here)
Sorry for double posting maybe, but this title is more right.
Problem: i can't succesfully load sf2 files, i hear no sound.
I do as follow:
Open Extreme Smaple Converter
Use VSTi Converter as source format
Use a sound from OMnisphere
Set Soundfont 2 as destination format (tried with instrument and with bank
Convert
Load the sf2 file in the kronos: no sound in the program.
It does changes the program name, it does load the samples (as i can see in the sampling source screen), but i hear no sound in the created program by the sf2 file. I do hear sounds in the 'sampling'screen when i individually load sample
any help?

you may have to make sure the loop points are correct in the samples when you export them... there is quite a bit of info out there on the subject since the issue dates back to the m3 as well.
the sound fonts that I've tried to use have all worked fine except for some personal .sf2 files....
but they are working now with now problem.

and, as far as I can see, none with any definitive information about how to solve problems. It seems that some people get it to work, some don't, and no one from the latter camp ever moves to the former.Dniss wrote:I don't want to point out the obvious, but if you do a search, there're a few lenghty threads about sf2...
Hi, i converted an akai cdrom to sf2 with the pc program cdxtract and the soundfonts not work (no samples loaded) after i tested with pc program extreme sample converter and most soundfonts works, sometimes after loaded some sf2 the kronos programs need editing for manually selecting the good waveform but after it's ok.
