"The Smoke That Rises . . ." -- 2 new Oasys pieces

Post by jgsidak »

Here are two new songs composed and recorded on the Oasys last weekend. Scroll to the bottom of the page:

http://www.gregorysidakmusic.com/compon ... lbum_id,8/

The first one is slow and minimal: "The Smoke That Rises from the Pipes of Lonely Men in Shirt-Sleeves, Leaning out of Windows."

The second is a lively piece: "Evenings Mornings Afternoons."

The second song uses Karma picking or strumming patterns. It also features a ritardando ending on the final measure. For a ritardando in a rock or pop song like this one, I set the terminal beats per minute to 2/3 of the BPM in the preceding measures of the song.

No external sequencing, mixing, or signal processing was used.
My website contains more than 150 songs recorded on the OASYS in a variety of genres--from hard rock and jazz to orchestral and country. Please visit: www.gregorysidakmusic.com
