how to write/store pads in songbook

Pa2Xpro still drives me crazy with his file system.
I use songbook all the time just to recall my upper lower sounds (aka performance) for playing in a live band. So no styles.
Now i want to recall the right pads with the right performance. How do i do that. Are the pads stored to a style first? So do i have to recall the style and thus get the right pads, or is there another way?
Please any suggestions would be appreciated. (is Rob Sheratt still here?)
The user manual says: In addition to helping you organizing your shows, the SongBook allows you to associate up to four Pads, and up to four STSs to each Standard MIDI File or MP3 file. This way, it is easy to recall a com- plete setup for Keyboard tracks, effects, and the Voice Processor, for realtime playing over a Standard MIDI File or MP3 file.
But how?
I think it saves pads to a style, so recalling the style recalls the pads OR
save it to a mp3 or midi file and it is saved in the songbook.
true?
