I might be trying to kick water up a hill here, but here's what i'm trying to achieve:
triggering sample banks ABCD on/off/hold-sample with MIDI CC...
I have a pedal that sends ONLY CC info.. no notes and it cannot (as far as I know) be customized internally to send user-defined MIDI info.
now the kaossilator pro can only send/recieve NOTE data for the sample pads... can assign the notes to whatever I want but not to CC (but when using the KPRO in EXT mode you can... REALLLLLY Korg?!)
does anyone have any suggestions? like maybe some kind of "middle-man" MIDI box to convert one MIDI signal to another (something like this would be an absolute godsend!!) and NO!! I refuse to use software/computer... but if thats the only way it can be done, beggars cant be choosers.
as for the MIDI-middle-man: if such a thing exists please tell me... if not.. why the hell not!?

I have exactly the same problem and I don´t want to buy other stuffs or to use a computer. There are some fully programmable MIDI foot controller but why I cant use that one I already have?punpkomg wrote:I might be trying to kick water up a hill here, but here's what i'm trying to achieve:

so its safe to assume you have a pedal-board that has a MIDI out but no way of assigning what MIDI signals you want it to send.
I've got a Line 6 POD-XT-Live. I've been looking on their site to see if there was maybe a software editor to change the internal settings on the pedalboard... still looking.
in the meantime i was referred on to a wonderful Canadian company called MIDI-solutions.
and this brilliant little creation of theirs:
http://www.midisolutions.com/prodepp.htm#
I'm still doing my research on it (as everyone should do while considering a purchase of a new piece of gear) to see just what kind of possibilities it will open up. I'm not opposed to spending the money for something that on the surface looks like the holy grail for anyone having problems getting different MIDI hardware to work together WITHOUT a pc
