Is there any software program enabling me to read the content of Performances or Styles without loading them in the keyboard?
I mean that if i have many sets and i interest to load some performances or styles. but i want to take a look first before i download it. Is there any computer software can do that?

Hi,
I don't think there is one but you can open files in your keyboard (it if is Pa800, Pa1x, Pa2x or Pa3x)
MEDIA > LOAD but don't load, choose the file and open (you can open styles and Sounds to see if its what you want by reading the names on the samples and styles)

Here a few usefull programs for Korg PA-... owners

For reading the style names you can use :
PAL viewer , ( like Charley67 said) . Free software
KSS Style sniffer . Free software

For reading and playing the style you can use :
Styleworks 2000 > advanced
Yamaha Style Player > average (reads korg styles) . Free software
PA80styletool > simple . Free software

For building style/performance banks :
XRM recourse manager . Free software

Thank you Willem H, I see you drive the PA800. These programs are useful. For PA 500 users, PAL does work. XRM works. KSS does not work on the PA500 styles (correct me if I’m wrong). The others, you will have to check. If you ever visit the KORGPA website, you will see that at least one of their pages hasn’t been updated since December 2008. One or two of these tools are a little out of date but may still be used successfully.

for me installing pal means also to install extensive software netframework 2.0 and so i do not like it.

so i prefer xrm version 1.3 as it is small and easy to use.

if you are familar with microsofts-access-db you can handle xrm.mdb for your personally needs. simply copy and rename tables "korfperfs" and "korfstyles" and use them as you usually do with ms-access, to make individual tables, listings, makros, dataexport, sorts, queries etc.

i am using xrm for styles and performances, but it unfortunately it is not possible to manage pad-banks.

..Make sure the path/name of the .SET does not contain UNICODE characters;

i.e: arabic/chinese/hebrew letters or ç,ë,ö,ş etc...
