Sustain karma
I created a combi that splits the kronos keyboard into 2 parts. Whenever I play notes on the lower part of my keyboard, it controls a karma arp until I release them (aka, no latch).
When I use my sustain pedal, the lower notes keep playing but the karma sequence stops.
I haven't been able to correct this, can anyone tell me how I can do this ?
Thanks!

well this is a wild guess based on the limited info but my guess is that it's a setting on the KARMA - Trigger subpage.
- Check the setting:
Note Latch
Specifies whether the phrase or pattern will continue when you release your hand from the keyboard (latch on) or whether the phrase or pattern will stop (latch off). In Program mode, turn this On (checked) and use the LATCH switch to control latch on/off.
Probably this is set to off by the original sounddesigner

Greetings . I'm not sure whether this is correct or not , but can give it a try .
If you want to sustain the KARMA sequence while holding down the damper pedal : Go to [ KARMA ] tab , then go to the second tab [ MIDI Filter / CC Offset ] , and set the KARMA module(s) to receive or not receive the Damper (Sustain) MIDI CC#64 .
If you do not want your lower notes to keep on playing when you apply the damper pedal : Go to [ MIDI Filter / Zones ] tab , then select the first tab [ MIDI Filter 1 ] where you can enable or disable the Damper MIDI CC for each of the 16 timbres .
My apology if I got this all wrong or if this is not what you're looking for . But sincerely hope this help .

To control the Latch of the KARMA GEs with the footswitch/damper, you would go to the KARMA > Dyn. MIDI page, and set one of the slots to "Damper" and set the Destination to Note & Env Latch.
That's a slightly different thing (but good try
). That would "pass thru" the effect of the damper pedal to the notes that KARMA is generating it, such that the program would sound like it had the damper pedal down. But it wouldn't keep the GE going at the same time. For that, you need the above setting.

Because it relates to the KARMA Latch feature. It's not sustaining notes. It's not holding notes. It's latching the KARMA function. It's controlling the latching of the generation of notes by the KARMA function. Not whether the notes of the program playing them are sustained. See the difference?mathieumaes wrote:OK, thanks Stephen, will try it tonight!
(Why is it called latch ? Sustain or hold are more common term)

Stephen,
I know it relates to the KARMA latch button, I actually meant that button. I used to own Roland arranger keyboards (E series), where you could "hold" the arranger which means it kept playing even when you release the chord.

If you had a KARMA keyboard before the Roland arranger keyboard, then would you expect the Roland arranger keyboard to say "Latch" on button?

If you bought a new car where the gas pedal is on the left... Wouldn't you make the remark that it was on the right in your previous cars ?
English is my 3rd language, and for me "latch" was a completely new word. I only found out what it means by pressing it on my Kronos and see what happened...

I believe that "latch" is the more commonly used term with regards to arpeggiators, historically. Anyway, that's what it's called in KARMA and the Kronos.mathieumaes wrote:If you bought a new car where the gas pedal is on the left...
