KORG MONOTRON
I have no experience with Mac, but I can imagine Mac will save a lot of time digging for the correct Windows machine.
Mac has Texas Instruments or Agere Firewire chipsets, don't know how Agere fares.
For a windows machine look for a system with a Texas Instruments firewire chipset.
Preferably no Jmicron, Ricoh or VIA chipset.
I did have Jmicron and Ricoh working on a 32bit windows 7 system on the korg Zero 4, but as soon as I went to Windows 7 64bit the Korg Drivers didn't work as they should.
64bit Windows 7 on a Texas Instruments chipset should work fine.
Also check this thread for windows 7 64bit drivers:

You could try a Firewire expresscard with texas instruments chipset on your laptop, just don't buy one from STLabs, which has texas instruments chipset, but doesn't work properly.Robb wrote:I have WIN 7 x64 not function KORG edit. And firewire driver have a failure.
Pleas KORG industry for new driver WIN7 x64 and maybe other person for hepl.
Or if you're using a desktop buy a PCI-e firewire card with texas instruments firewire chipset.
Did you also try the options and drivers from the link?
PS: You can forget getting drivers from Korg, as the unit has been discontinued, and so has support. See all the different threads around here.
