Kronos Editor/Plug-In Editor and OS v1.6 are now live.

Post by RichF »

Hi folks,

Thanks for your patience. The Editor/Plug-In Editor software for the Kronos is now available for download at www.korg.com/kronos/support . Click on "Software" for the editor, and please make sure you also visit the "Drivers" section to download the latest USB-MIDI driver.

We've also released OS v1.6, which is required to run the Editor/Plug-In Editor. It can be downloaded right from the "OS" section of the support page. In addition to various bug fixes, this update also adds an "Uninstall EXs" command, which will completely remove selected EXs data from the internal SSD.

Enjoy. :)

Thanks,
-Rich

Fantastic work! I've got it installed and it looks absolutely fantastic. The screens all mimic the KRONOS UI very closely.

Well done to all involved.

Here's the official email:

Dear KRONOS user,

Korg is pleased to announce the availability of the KRONOS Editor and KRONOS Plug-In Editor, available for free download at www.korg.com/kronos/Support, in the “Software” section.

The KRONOS Editor and KRONOS Plug-in Editor are applications for Macintosh and Windows that allow you to edit the KRONOS’s Set List, Combination, Program, Wave Sequence, Drum, and Global settings, as well as Sequencer mode sounds and effects for multi-timbral use (editing of MIDI and audio data is not supported).

The KRONOS Editor is a stand-alone editor/librarian, whereas the KRONOS Plug-in Editor is designed for compatibility with DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) and other applications which have support for the VST and AU audio plug-in formats.

Note: To use the Editor, both KRONOS OS v1.6 (or later) and the KORG USB-MIDI Driver are required. Please visit our support page at www.korg.com/kronos/Support to download the latest versions. For detailed OS installation instructions, see the document "KRONOS_Update_and_Restore.pdf," included in the OS download. To ensure proper installation, please follow the instructions carefully.

We hope you enjoy using the Editor software along with your KRONOS Music Workstation!

Best regards,
KORG
