KORG PA-800 - Issue with SAMPLE RAM - KP2101_0

Post by padys78 »

Hy friends,
I have a KORG PA-800 keyboards ,and now, back the problem with RAM issue . 6 months ago I replaced the RAM with another(new ram) ,because the RAM go down and the sampler sound strange.Yesterday I was surprised to descover the same problem return : changed RAM go down.
My question : IS NORMAL?The respons of KORG Italy was : just a several RAM has this problem. My conclusion ,not is RAM ,that problem come from bad hardware conception of MOTHER/CPU board.
What is the frequency to burn this RAM BOARD?6 months,1 year,2,3....from your experience?
Thanks a lot,
ADRIAN

This is permanent problem in pa800.... and it cant be fixed. Quality of parts is problem, and even replacing parts are same with quality..... sorry to heat that bro.... but its fact that pa800 is made with cheep quality components.

Hello friends!
I had the same problem with my Korg Pa800 and I changed the subject,I mean I replaced the RAM with 256 mb for two years ago. I opened my Keyboard and replaced the RAM ,installed the updating PKG file after installing OS and everythings worked perfect.
now I have more space for sampling with more user DK pages.
I havent got any problem since I changed the RAM.
That was my experience.
