Other good things to do with the drum sounds on the EMX is to LAYER them, De-tuning gives interesting variations too, using the available envelope ramps, panning is also important; Also, try using effects like the decimator, the LPF and the short delay, those also work great for getting interesting drum sounds. And who can forget to use the aux. outs? Even more possibilities by using those to add outboard effects
