Dedicating a midi track to changing your voice selections

Post by sound space »

Hi,
I am very interested in getting a Kronos. I am coming from a Korg TR76 and Yamaha motif 6 background. I am in the country so don’t have access to music shops with the Kronos in stock so am unable to try it out.
I have 2 questions:
I love the set lists idea. If you use backings/accompaniments and load them into the Kronos can you also dedicate a midi track to changing your voice selections? Eg bar 1 – voice 27, bar 36 voice 40 etc. That would be very powerful for live use.
And I’d like the 76 note model but I am not used to the semi weighted keyboard. Is the general view among players such as myself, used to an organ keyboard feel, that the semi weighted keyboard on the kronos is relatively easy to adjust to?
Thank you

I'm new - to the kronos and this forum - but as far as the keyboard goes (on a Kronos 73) I'm very happy. You might just find them a bit clunky. If it's really important, there's no substitute for finding a place where there's an instrument on display.

Regarding MIDI, possibly some of the other recent threads might be of help.
