Pattern tempo question

Post by sts »

Hi to everyone ;)

Does the 16 Patterns of a Bank use the same tempo bpm? Its possible to change the tempo bpm of the pattern individualy or they use their Bank tempo bpm?

If not you can only use 8 different tempo bpm....cause its 8 Banks!?

Thanks a lot

Cheers

You can only have one tempo setting per bank.
According to the midi implimentation chart, System Real Time Clock can be recognised, so it might be possible to change the temp on the fly by using an external sequencer to control the tempo.
NRPN messages can also be used to select patterns.
What this means is the MS should be able to be controlled to some extent, to follow the output of an external sequencers song time line, but you will need to learn the more complicated aspects of midi.
