DAW/CC hybrid mode for nanoKontrol 2

Post by Eternal »

Hello!
Most likely, this question is directed to developers.

Is it possible to do this:
buttons Stop, Play and Record work in DAW Mode, and all other buttons and faders operate in a CC mode?
I would be very convenient!

Thanks in advance

I agree it would be nice, but I doubt there will be such a thing any time soon.
Cause all the buttons would also be nice to have the lights working in DAW mode, so where to stop?!

BUT: the good news is that even in DAW mode, you can somehow use the other controls for other things, e.g., in Cubase or Ableton or Reaper, just assign some of the MIDI messages to control the parameters you want to. Its not CC messages (e.g., the faders are Pitchbend messages etc.), but most DAWs allow to customize these settings.

Yes, the way it is. I use Reaper. But, Reaper's control surface tightly binds all faders to the first eight tracks. And I still can not get rid of it! :(
So I have to sacrifice an adequate transport buttons led in the near future. ;)

joemmi, thanks! Sorry for my english :)
