That leaves a big gap in their workstation product line. Maybe it's a sign of an upcoming enrty or mid level Kronos.

I bought the M3 because I got a great deal on the expanded version and a Kronos was double what I paid for it. At the time I needed a new main keyboard and I needed it now, the Kronos had just come out so I knew it was doomed in the long term.

Good. So the price can come down. Been wanting to get a 88 key version so I can fit 2 m3 modules

It seems to still be on the site on my end (Holland). When I go to Products/workstations, both show up. Are you looking somewhere else?

As of today, Sweetwater's web site indicates that the M50-88 is no longer available. It's still available in 73 and 61 configurations and all three M3 models are still listed. But, I would say that the writing is on the wall in terms of further production.
