format of SR1's .sos and .unl files?

When dumping the Korg SR1's recordings, I'd like to be able to parse each song's configuration data and recover information such as the patch number and volume for each track. I want to store the info independently of the Korg dump. I believe this data is contained within the .sos and .unl files, but have Korg divulged the format of these files at all? If not, has anyone here worked the format out?
