Locking threads promoting political parties

Post by Ojustaboo »

Hi all

I totally agree with the locking of political threads but could I suggest you take it one step further please and delete (or censor) the original post when these threads crop up?

A post was recently locked entitled "Vote for Ron Paul if you care about our country"

Thing is, that person has been allowed to have their viewpoint, link to the candidates web site, link to propaganda youtube vid kept permanently on display (so far with 119 views).

Seems a little unfair that someone can spout their political views and those views remain for us all to see yet those of us who totally disagree with those views have no right of reply.

I hate all forms of censorship but in this sort of case, personally it seems fairer if the original post was either removed or severely edited.

best

Hi Joe,

You've got a valid point. I've now removed the thread.

Thanks,
