Hi Pedro702lv,

If you have already a folder on your SD-Card with styles for your MA,
I would suggest to rename it

for example: 001

This brings the folder right up to the top and you should be able to
play your styles on the MA direct from the SD-Card.

Hi There

you need to name the set file with an "A" at the front of the name ie AA.SET or even A.SET etc indside the set folder you need a folder named "STYLE" and inside that folder you have the USER folders

ie USER01.STY USER02.STY etc

To summarise:

AA.SET - STYLE - USER01.STY etc

Hope this helps.

I use the MicroArranger quite a lot.

This is a link to a boxnet file (ZIP file) as an example to download. The set includes a batch of song specific styles. Copy the AA.SET file onto your SD card and it should work OK

Best of luck

Hi Col and Pedro,

That was a good idea to offer a download of user-styles.

Here are some more styles to play from the SD-card:

The MA will only read ( play) the first folder of your SD-card.
Instead of renaming your folders everytime you want to change a special folder to the top,
it might be better to have another SD-card , so you can swap the
card.
This is easier and much faster than renaming the folders every time
you want to change.

Thank you for posting this and for the responses. It has helped me learn how to use the SD Direct feature on my Microarranger. Can performances be read from the SD card using the SD Direct feature?

Hi Deane,

If you are reading a style direct from your sd-card,
then you can put your
user defined settings into the performance bank.
After removing the sd-card, the MA still can read this performance with the style from the sd-card.
Of course, you have to press the style-change button before you select and play your saved performance.
I found this feature very useful!

Do styles converted with emc style works also work in this way. Do you have any further styles for directsd.
