PA600 User manuals available!

Post by Daniel_C »

I found the user manuals for the PA600 here: http://www.korg.de/produkte/keyboards-p ... als60.html

I still dont understand how the PCM user RAM can be used, will it be only for KORG´s propietary sound sets that they will sell? , or will I be able to import my own samples? , I don´t see any support for WAV or even .KSF - .KMP files. Does anyone have an idea how this will work?

Korg must have split the manual into 2 parts - Reference and User. The only part that is in English at this site is the Reference Manual.

Very good just the same.

Pa600 only imports PCM Data up to 96MB. So, you can load samples but you can't edit (only erase the unwanted ones).

So I can load my WAV samples and make a multisample? or at least import existing .KSF .KMP files with their samples and use them as multisamples? if I can use my own samples I´m definitely gonna buy one. I´ve been waiting for an entry multisample synth since I bought my Fantom XA.

No sliders, but virtual drawbar organ (like Pa800) ? It `s to difficult to find it on the manual in german.

Hi,
have a look here:
http://www.korg.de/produkte/keyboards-p ... h-eng.html

You can download this reference handbook in english !

From page 203 you will find a list of all sounds.
So far no virtual drawbar!

Maybe that might help you :)

Yes, I saw, only one drawbar organ in the list. But - is this really impossible to see it with some next OS version? I mean in terms of hardware options/possibilities.

I've created a number of custom drawbar organ presets on my PA500. I cobbled up a little EXCEL spreadsheet program to make programming the USER SOUNDS easier. I just punch in the drawbar settings and Excel tells me how to program the sound parameters. Sure it's not real-time control like the big boys but it works for me.

BTW both of the Pa600 manuals are now available on the US website http://www.korg.com/Pa600.

And YouTube now has a 7-piece set of video manuals for the Pa600 in English.
