Demo: Dream Pianos Soundset QR

Post by QuiRobinez »

Here's a video demo of my latest finished soundset called Dream Pianos

This has a collection of carefully created pianos for the Chillout, ambient, new age, classical and pop style. All sounds are designed for performance purposes. Every sound has a drumtrack and a KARMA scene.

The set has bright pianos, dark pianos, pad pianos, electric pianos, experimental pianos and effect pianos.

Most pianos have a pad sound beneath them that is hardly noticeable but it adds a lot of atmosphere to the piano. If you only want to use the piano just mute channel 2 by pressing the audio switch 2.
You can also easely modify the reverb room to your liking by turning knob 8. When you use a 61 keys keyboard you can use SW1 and SW2 for octave changes.

In this video you can see me playing a couple of the piano programs from this soundset. At the end of the video you can hear three small parts of songs while all 32 pianos are shown, so you can see the names of the programs and the modules it uses.

Hope you like it :)

I like it very much. Thankyou for that.

It is good to see clear fingering that you have videoed. Me, not being a very good piano player, it helps me a lot.
Did you make up a setlist to use on the touch screen?

Yes, hands down the sound design is exquisite but the man behind the mask plays beautifully.
Kudos Qui.

Nice...even though i have no clue at whats going on...was never a Piano

are so good? Internal Tweaked Pianos, from a Library or you Sampled
from some completely different Piano?

Wow, thanks for the comments!

I knew the piano sounds were really good because i am using them for months now and i still use them every day. The last few months i've been constantly tweaking the piano sounds till the endresult you hear now. The hard part was to create pad atmospheres that especially in the high end don't overpower the piano sounds. There are hundreds of little tweaks in this set to prevent that.

I'm really glad that you all like the set as much as i do.

here are the answers to the questions in this thread:
Mikeeee wrote:Did you make up a setlist to use on the touch screen?
i always make a setlist for a video demo, that way i don't loose time finding the correct program when playing. Because it's so easy to create a setlist with your own prefered programs i didn't include a setlist in the soundset. But you can easely make your own since i mentioned the programs i was using.

Definitly !

The SGX-1 Premium Piano engine is fantastic and good enough to create any piano sound i want. So i used that engine as my main source for this soundset. Of course i've modified a lot of parameters to make it sound like it sounds now, but there are no external samples used.
The following engines were used in this soundset:
- SGX-1 Premium Piano
- EP-1 MDS Electric Piano
- AL-1 Analog Synthesizer
- MOD-7 Waveshaping VPM Synthesizer
- STR-1 Plucked String Synthesizer

in a few weeks my store will open, so there will be plenty to choose from.

I'm working for quite some time now on a modern dance sounds soundset and an eighties soundset. The results so far are really good and probably i will create a demo in the near future about these sets.
