I've been using my Behringer C1 condenser mic with my Kronos for audio recording and sampling, but the 48v phantom power has been a pain. I first enter the mic into a mixer with phantom power, then connect mixer main out to Kronos.
For the last few weeks, I needed a field handheld recorder. After searching the web for a compact and cheap solution I found Zoom H1. I bought it a few hours ago and wow..! It is very easy to use, very portable and has high audio quality. I connect the line out of the H1, which is basically a walkman jack into Kronos' 1/4 in R and L inputs with an adapter cable I bought a few years ago for connecting my Android phone's output into my mixer input channels. You can record real time, or record the playback of H1. You can record easily in stereo without much planning in advance. Furthermore I could connect the H1 with my Canon EOS 7D for a perfect audio solution.
For USD100, the Zoom H1 is a steal. The more expensive model H4 has the same audio properties with fancy functions and multichannel recording capability.
I guess it's worth checking...

Yes that's the one.
In the meantime, I've tried but haven't figured out how I can use it as a USB audio input device (USB mic) on the KronosX... It works on a Windows PC though.
