EXB 03 and 04??? anybody get RPPR to run on Korg Extreme?

Post by paulmpianist »

Hi.. I have had the Karma and the Korg Extreme for some time now. I had the Karma first and I have the Dance EXtreme and the Future Loop Construction Expansion boards in the Karma. I find that I can open the RPPR .sng files in the Korg Extreme, but not all the multisamples are in the Extreme. Its just not that extreme.
So I was wondering if someone figure out how to load some substitute drum kits in to make the EXB 03 and 04 RPPRs work in the Extreme. I realize this is the Karma board, but nobody on the Extreme forum accomplished it.
thanks if anybody has any tips on that.

I don't believe there are any compatible drum kits in the Extreme that work with EXB03 future loop constuction PCG and SNG files. The samples in the EXB03 board are effectively the key to unlocking those RPPR patterns contained in the .SNG file.

The EXB03 samples, programs, and drum kits are generically named and obfuscated, perhaps intentionally, making it difficult to construct your own custom drum kits on the Extreme compatible with those RPPR patterns. Clever, but ultimately frustrating, since there is no RPPR drum loop library available from Korg for the Extreme.
