COPY FROM COMBI

Post by amartinod »

I have a song in sequencer with 4 midi tracks.
I made a combi with piano and strings.
I copied the combi to my song, as I want to play with the instruments of the combi, the 4 midi tracks being the other instruments : drums, bass...

But the combi takes the place of some midi instruments.
I suppose my combi must be created with different midi channels than the midi instruments of the song ?

I must say I am a bit lost and could not find some video or manual page on the subject.

Other problem : I changed the date and hour in Global mode, but the new date is not kept in memory and disk and returns to 2009....

May-be someone can help me,

Thank you,

Replace track # 1 (piano), for example- to track # 11,
(strings ) track # 2 - to #12 etc.

midi channels for the combi don't change

After changing the date did you write the global settings? If so, then yes I would suspect the battery.

Now my Band in a Box song is in the Kronos sequencer with 5 midi tracks.
To hear the song properly I need to reaffect the midi instruments : Bass, Drums etc... to the proper Kronos sounds.

Then the song is played with the correct instruments, but if I restart and replay the song, the instruments are changed : Drums becomes Pulsatronic for instance.
All the program changes have been eliminated from my midi file with Logic Pro.

I wonder where from this changes of instrument comes from everytime I restart my song....

May-be you have an idea,

band in a box has put program change commands at the beginning of the song. you need to strip those out, and then add the program changes for the Kronos at the beginning of the sequence. read the operations guide section on sequencing. it will explain how to do this with specific procedures.

But all the program changes have already been stripped out with Logic pro
using the event list.

I am afraid I cannot find in the manual where this situation is explained.

I went to "track Edit"/"midi event edit" and unchecked the control and program change buttons for each track, but I have no change,
everytime I restart my song, the instruments are changed in most of my midi tracks......
