Kronos major system error. Help!!!!

Post by mididiot »

When I move one of the sliders, I get a loud continuos tone. And this message pops up on the screen:
System Error ld: 000 Line:0269
../cpsoc.cpp
Fail to send data to psoc:120

Does anyone know what this problem is?

Need more specific information.

Does this happen with the Kronos alone (i.e. no external controllers, sound modules or DAWs), or is it only when transmitting MIDI to external gear?

Does a particular slider cause this problem (i.e. Slider #1 in Karma Mode set to control swing in a certain combi), or does this occur with any slider in any program/combi?

Is the continuous sound just noise or static, does it sound like oscillators triggering, or is it digital noise bleeding from, for example, unshielded USB cables?

Any detailed information you can provide may give us some clues that may help in diagnosis.

turn the Kronos off. Wait 10 seconds. Turn the Kronos back on. After boot up, does the problem persist?

Opened it up and reseeded the RAM. Problem seems to be solved. I'm gigging tonight. So I'll see. But I'm bringing my trusty old M50 also, just to be safe.

Worked perfectly. Must have been the RAM installation. I think the Kronos has the weakest screws of any keyboard I've ever known. The korg nano keyboard screws tighter. They don't really tighten.
