Is Music Computing Studioblade the best workstation or not
I'm ready to buy a workstation that will read & play my soundfont 2 files, vst, 3rd party plugins and record audio with no problem right out of the box. Keyboardmag.com has stated that the Studioblade by Music Computing is the worlds most powerful workstation. Compared to the Korg Kronos which is the best workstation? If i'm gonna spend thousands of dollars on a keyboard I want the best out there. I know some of you guys know your stuff so tell me what are the best & worst things about the Korg Kronos & if someone knows about the Studioblade please let me know. What is the best workstation on the market because I need it & I want it now.[/list]
Can't even try to answer "best" - but I can say there is a big difference between "most powerful" and a workstation like the Kronos.
You can add tons of memory and interfaces, drives etc. to the StudioBlade - I think of it is a music ready computer system and in that sense the specs do probably justify "most powerful"
This is great for running lots of plug ins in one unit, that is not using a computer with an additional controller.
The question can arise for integration - for example on the Kronos using the sequencer with KARMA and internal sounds is straight forward.
Seems like an apple and oranges to me - I would like to have one sitting next to my Kronos.
