sampling gurus please help

Post by elprimito »

I am trying to sample one of my synths and I've got everything hooked up correctly. I can start sampling with 'Sampling Start SW' and with 'Threshold', but for the life of me, I can't initiate sampling with 'Note On'. Funny thing is, I think I had it working with 'Note On' yesterday. Any ideas? Maybe when I went into my K61 yesterday and found a loose connection which I inserted properly, underneath the midi circuit board, I jared something else loose. Midi seems to be working fine, though.

Hi

Connection:

Kronos (midi out) ----> to synth (midi in)

Kronos (audio in) <---- synth (audio out)

Best regards

Problem solved.
I was trying to sample my Roland MKS20, ep8 with chorus. Maybe because it is a module I could not use 'Note On' to start sampling, or maybe because it is so old. Anyway, I hooked up my S90 and it worked fine.
I sampled the flute sound from the S90 and it sounds great. The MKS20 sounds great as well.
Now off to sample some more stuff.
