Recording filter cut off changes in sequencer

Post by partz »

I was under the impression that the real time control knob changes would be accepted when recording in the sequencer?

I'm using combi B083:Warm Wind Pad which has been copied to the sequencer. I'm playing a single note in the lowest octave and want to record my filter changes (i'm trying to create a deep menacing intro for the first song in my cue list, not unlike the opening track to the J.M.Jarre album Rendevouz).

When I record this single note and try to ajust filter cut off/resonance everything sounds god whilst recording and I get the effect I want. But When I play the sequence back I get a sound as though the filter is unadjusted and in the default position.

Is what I am attepting possible or are filter settings not recorded with sequencer data?

...think i resolved this. It seems that the filter setting before i hit record/start was not maintained. If i hit record/start then adjust the real time ctrl knobs to my desired start setting during the 2 bar count in then everything works fine. I wasnt expecting it to behave that way but I got the nice high resonance start I was looking for :)

I had that same problem so i put a controll change for the filter on the first count (1.0001) :)
