Kronos Editor – Copy Prog to Combi

Post by rs.felicio »

Hi Guys,

During the flights or some free time far from Kronos, I have been worked on creating new combis ... my idea is do basics processes on editor, and then refine the timbre on Kronos.

My question is if, there is a "workaround" on Editor....for copying a prog into a Combi (especially effects (IFX, MFX, drum tracks and Karma)? I've tried different ways and have not found.

If there is no way, I kindly ask to "Kronos Editor development team" consider this improvement ... I imagine that would bring a considerable "saving of time" for us

Thankful

I did not discover this option in de editor. That is why I never use it. I use the copy program option all the time for making my combies.

Yes this would be a great addition, also to get a combi into the internal sequencer without it initializing itself?
I must be missing something and have been to embarrassed to ask.

I haven't yet got round to updating to OS 2.0 and so haven't run the editor with the Kronos plugged in. I have however explored the editor in some depth on my PC.

Personally, I really like the editor (as it contains the factory programs and combis) for exploring how the programs and combis are put together. I find it very easy to use a mouse and PC screen to move around the pages and to get a comprehensive overview.

(Not having used the editor together with my Kronos I have to assume that the editor will import and update my PCG edits and SEQ data when they are connected) but I'm also assuming that there's no sequencer editing functionality in the editor as I can't see anywhere to do that sort of thing in the software)

What would be good to see in future editor updates would be:

1) clickable links that take you to the linked screen (like what happens on the Kronos touchscreen - jump-graphics); the patch panel graphics (on the MS20) have editable cable connections so a graphic-jump link shouldn't be too hard to sort out

2) The addition of the dropdown page menu (the one at top right of touchscreen) and it's functions like 'copy IFX/copy program' etc

3) An editable piano-roll style Sequencer screen or even step-edit functionality

Funny, just yesterday I was playing a Combi in the Set List and decided to take it to the Seq to record but it sounded quite different there. It would be nice if it did not change when recording that way.

I have not copied to the SEQ from Set List. When I have copied from Combi to SEQ it's been OK and sounded the same.

Is this SEQ re-initialisation/difference in sound only to do with Set List or is it some change in the later OS upgrades?

I'm a wee bit confused ...

Hi Sparker,

Yes you are correct in that you can copy a combi to the sequencer, I was implying and neglected to say the Auto Record setup (Enter, Rec/Write)
My bad.. and yes it does sound as you would expect it to.
