USB Keyboard

Post by deanspy »

I would like to be able to quickly access songs in the songbook. Can this be achieved by plugging in a USB keyboard to type the first few letters in, while in the songbook screen?

Thanks,

There are two ways to quickly find a song.
1) Hit the Songbook button twice and enter in the song number, or
2) While in Songbook hit the Search button and type in part of the song name

I'm with cleanspy on this one. I go into trauma trying to use that touch screen. I don't know if it's just my unit, or the PA3x screen is not sensitive enough, or maybe my finger is just malfunctioning.

But.......that screen is really hard to work with. When I'm searching for something, I have to hit the screen 2-3 times before it makes contact. I'd much rather work with a keyboard....easier to hit the keys first time around and speedier too.

Marcus; Yeah, it took me a great deal of time to work the screen as well.. But found easier use by using the nail. Then reaction is far better, for my oppinion.

Agree with Pa3XDK

For some time now I am in the habit of using my finger nail (i.e. the back of the finger) for the touch screen - using the fleshy finger pad is unpredictable - using the nail basically never fails.
Several demos in the past show use of finger nail.

My PA1XPro, Pa2XPro and M3 all operate far more reliably using the nail.
My i3 and i30 were more sensitive and could be reliably operated with finger pad.
I think Korg (TouchView) may have changed the technology on the later screens....

Hope this helps

Hi!

I am using the rubber end of a pensil when working on the touchscreen, and it is very accurat.

I am also using a tablet PC for song select via midi, similar system like that Dennis is showing but I am a PC-man not an Apple-fan.

Thanks Dennis,
What a great idea. I am using Music Reader and I believe I can embed MIDI files in it.

I love my 3X!!
