help needed with copy and paste
Let's say that I want to copy measures 1-4 and paste them on first beat of measure 5, so that I'll have 8 measures of the same drum pattern, for example. Most of the time, when I do that, there is a slight delay between measures 4 and 5. Would that be because the down beat of measure 1 is not exactly on the down beat, or am I doing something wrong? I've tried quantizing 1-4 and also 1-8, to no avail.

Step 1: try using the midi event editorelprimito wrote:Let's say that I want to copy measures 1-4 and paste them on first beat of measure 5, so that I'll have 8 measures of the same drum pattern, for example. Step 2: fail and become extremely frustrated
Step 3: wish you had a Roland Fantom G sequencer
Step 4: write threats to Korg and DEMAND a sequencer update
Step 5: realise you have better chance of walking on the moon
Step 6: just get on with it and re-record measures 1-4 until you get it perfect
Step 7: try using the "copy measure" or the "repeat measure" function
Step 8: realise it is quite easy after all when you use pen and paper to write down the structure of your music... Intro= 001, 1st verse= 008 etc..
Step 9: (please fill in the missing step)
